Awards/Ratings
Vintage scores: James Suckling 97; Robert Parker (Wine Advocate) 96 (WA #222, Dec 2015); Wine Spectator ~95; Decanter 94; Vinous ~95. Blend and ageing: 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, 6% Merlot, 2% Malbec; ~18 months French oak
Tasting Note
Concentrated blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherry with graphite, tobacco, cedar and dark chocolate. Silky, satiny tannins, lively acidity and a long, layered finish—Bordeaux-like elegance with Napa ripeness.
Food Pairing
Western: grilled ribeye, roast rack of lamb, beef tenderloin, mushroom risotto, aged cheddar. Asian: Peking duck, Cantonese roast pork (char siu), Korean BBQ (bulgogi), miso-glazed black cod, Sichuan pepper beef.
Production Method
Hand-harvested, sorted; extended maceration; fermented in small lots; aged ~17.5–18 months in French oak (predominantly new) before bottling and further bottle aging.
