Tasting Note
Medium-bodied Margaux with black cherry, blackberry, cedar, graphite and tobacco notes; mineral streak and bright acidity, fine-grained yet firm tannins, plush mid-palate and a long, elegant finish.

Production Method
Selected-plot vinification with temperature-controlled fermentation; matured ~20 months in oak barrels (approx. 50–60% new oak estimated); bottled July 2016.

Pavillon Rouge is the second wine of Château Margaux (name used since 1908), revived in 1977. 2014 saw strict selection (~24% of crop to Pavillon Rouge) to approach Grand Vin quality.
