Pontet-Canet consistently earns high scores from major critics (Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, Decanter), with many vintages from the 1990s and later rated in the 90–98 point range; estate awarded recognition for biodynamic viticulture

Tasting Note
Concentrated Pauillac: blackcurrant and blackberry with cedar, graphite, tobacco and dark chocolate notes. Firm ripe tannins, pronounced mineral spine and long cassis-driven finish; develops leather, cigar box and tertiary earthiness with age.

Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, ribeye/steak, beef stews, game, aged hard cheeses, mushroom risotto. Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi/galbi), Cantonese roasted pork/char siu, braised beef noodle, milder Sichuan beef or soy-braised short ribs.

Production Method
Hand-harvested, parcel vinification in concrete/stainless vats, extended maceration, aged ~16–20 months in French oak (portion new). Estate adopted biodynamic farming from 2004; organic/biodynamic certifications followed.
