Tasting Note
Concentrated blackcurrant, black raspberry and wild blueberry with redcurrant jelly, rose-hip tea, sandalwood, cedar and subtle graphite. Impeccably fine tannins, bright freshness and a tense, long, energetic finish with savory spice and forest-floor notes.

Food Pairing
Western: grilled ribeye, roasted lamb, braised short ribs, mushroom risotto, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi/galbi), Peking duck, char siu, braised Sichuan beef, umami-rich ramen or miso dishes.

Production Method
Small-lot fermentations, extended maceration; matured primarily in French oak (majority in large casks/‘cask’ with some small French barrels) for extended aging before blending and bottling.

Vineyard Info
Promontory is the Harlan family estate on a secluded Oakville ridge (acquired 2008). Single, high-end proprietary red from multiple vineyard parcels; Davide Cilli has been winemaker. First vintage released 2009.
