Tasting Note
Elegant, fresh Bordeaux-style red: ripe red and black fruits, floral and herbal notes (pepper, dill), orange peel, coffee and vanilla; silky texture, refined tannins and a long, mineral finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, grilled ribeye, beef stews, mushroom risotto, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu, Chinese red-braised beef, teriyaki beef, spicy Sichuan-style dishes.
Production Method
Mostly stainless-steel fermentation with ~10% in concrete vats; aged 22 months in French oak (≈80% new) with some maturation in Stockinger/foudres; estate practices biodynamically.
Vineyard Info
Seña was created in 1995 by Eduardo Chadwick with Robert Mondavi; produced by the Chadwick family from selected Aconcagua estate vineyards (biodynamic farming). Iconic Chilean project.
