Tasting Note
Concentrated black and red fruit (blackberry, cherry), violet and floral perfume, cured-meat and smoked herb savoury notes, leather, black pepper and baking spice. Opulent, layered and full-bodied with velvety tannins, bright acidity and a very long, mineral-tinged finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roasted lamb, grilled ribeye, beef short ribs, duck confit, mushroom risotto. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi/galbi), Sichuan-style spicy beef, char siu, Peking duck, teriyaki/glazed short ribs.

Production Method
Estate and single‑vineyard fruit; partial whole-cluster fermentations (high % on Grenache), occasional co‑fermentation with small % Viognier/Muscat; extended élevage (c. 39 months) in new and used French oak, late bottled.

Sine Qua Non (Manfred & Elaine Krankl) is a cult Californian Rh ône specialist founded in the 1990s. Eleven Confessions is one of the Krankls' estate vineyards in Sta. Rita Hills, producing small-run, highly allocated single-vineyard bottlings.
