Tasting Note

Deep, concentrated; black cherry, mulberry, orange rind and cedar with truffle and star-anise hints. Silky, fine tannins, chalky minerality and a vivid red‑cherry/raspberry coulis finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast lamb, braised short ribs, roast beef, duck confit, mushroom risotto. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ, Sichuan beef, braised beef noodle dishes.


Production Method

Manual harvest with hand sorting and densimetric sorting; fermentation in temperature‑controlled stainless steel and wooden vats; ~3-week maceration; malolactic in oak; aged 18–30 months in mostly new French oak barrels.

Founded 1989 by Jean‑Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud as a ‘garagiste’ estate; expanded to ~10 ha on clay‑limestone soils and promoted to Premier Grand Cru Classé (B) in the 2012 Saint‑Émilion classification.
