Tasting Note
Concentrated Tempranillo: ripe black fruit (cassis, blackberry), floral perfume, cedar, tobacco, baking spice and mineral lift. Silky yet firm tannins, bright acidity and a long, spicy finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roasted lamb, grilled ribeye, beef stew, aged Manchego. Asian: Peking duck, char siu (Cantonese BBQ pork), Korean bulgogi or galbi, spicy Szechuan beef.
Production Method
Hand-harvested single-vineyard Tempranillo; fermented in small oak tinos with selected/indigenous yeasts, malolactic in barrel, aged 15–18 months in new French oak.

Produced by Viñedos de Páganos (Eguren family). La Nieta is a 1.75–1.78 ha single vineyard planted in 1975, worked biodynamically (not certified) on clay-silt-sandstone soils at ~525 m.
