Tasting Note
Concentrated dark-fruit core of blackberry, plum and cassis with mocha, licorice, lavender and menthol; finely textured tannins, balanced oak and a long, saline-tinged finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roasted lamb, grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, venison, aged Pecorino/Parmigiano. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), Sichuan beef, grilled wagyu skewers.

Production Method
Fermented with extended maceration (~20 days), malolactic partly in barrels; aged ~18 months in French oak (3 months in once-used barrels during MLF, then ~15 months in 100% new barrels).

Produced by Marchesi Antinori (family since 1385); Solaia comes from the ~20-hectare ‘sunny’ vineyard on the Tenuta Tignanello estate (350–400m elevation, alberese/galestro soils).
