Tasting Note
Aromas of blackberry, raspberry, violets, spice, tobacco and truffle. Medium–full body with concentrated red/black fruit, mineral core, clean acidity and firm, fine-grained tannins; long, persistent finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, grilled ribeye, beef stew, mushroom risotto, aged Manchego. Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), soy-braised short ribs, char siu, mushroom hot pot.

Production Method
Hand-harvested Tempranillo from a single vineyard; destemmed, cold maceration and fermentation in open wooden vats, then ~15 months in French oak barrels.

Single-vineyard Viña El Pisón (2.4 ha) planted in 1945 near Laguardia at ~480m, deep clay–limestone soils; historically associated with the López de Lacalle family and produced by Artadi.
