Tasting Note

Concentrated red and dark cherry, red plum and cranberry with floral lift, forest‑floor, spice and mineral notes. Silky, fine-grained tannins, lively acidity and oak spice, finishing long and layered.

Western: roast duck, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, pork tenderloin, aged cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, miso‑glazed salmon, char siu pork, mushroom hot pot, sashimi with soy and yuzu.


Production Method

Hand‑harvested, low-yield, organic/biodynamic vineyard management; native-yeast ferments, gentle extraction; matured up to 20 months in new Allier oak; bottled unfiltered with minimal intervention.

Founded 1979 by Phillip Jones in Leongatha (South Gippsland). Small‑production estate noted for dense plantings (9,000 vines/ha) and MV6 heritage clones; acclaimed reserve bottling with long cellaring potential.
