Tasting Note
Concentrated black cherry, cassis and blueberry with violet florals, graphite, tobacco and dark chocolate. Polished yet firm tannins, saline minerality and a long, savory finish.

Roast rack of lamb, beef tournedos, venison, mushroom risotto, aged Gouda or Comté; Asian pairings: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), braised beef (red-cooked) with umami-rich sauces.
Production Method
Hand-harvested, fermented in temperature-controlled vats; matured ~18 months in French oak (c.70% new); blended and bottled at the château.

Château Beychevelle (4th Growth, 1855) is a 90ha Saint-Julien estate. Owned in partnership with Suntory and Pierre Castel (since 2011); managed by Aymar de Baillenx with long-standing technical team.
