Tasting Note
Perfumed with violets, blackberries and plum, plus dark chocolate, spice and tobacco. Silky, fine-grained tannins, saline minerality and integrated oak lead to plush fruit and an extremely long, savory finish.

Food Pairing
Western: grilled lamb, roast beef/tenderloin, empanadas, aged Manchego or goat cheese. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi), Sichuan or Cantonese beef, char siu, hoisin-glazed duck, spicy ramen or yakitori.

Production Method
Cold maceration (10–30% whole clusters), fermentation ~17–28 days, total maceration 25–38 days. Aged 15–18 months in French oak barrels (first, second and third use).

Bodega Catena Zapata—fourth-generation family estate—uses pre-phylloxera massal selections from old Nicasia and Angélica vineyards. Pioneers of high-altitude Mendoza viticulture; Alejandro Vigil and Ernesto Bajda oversee winemaking.
