Tasting Note
Deep black-cherry and blackberry with licorice, mineral and earthy notes. Very dense and opulent, framed by firm, fine-grained tannins and a long, savory finish.

Food Pairing
Roast duck, beef tournedos, lamb, game (venison), mushroom risotto; Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), braised short rib, miso-glazed aubergine.

Production Method
Organic viticulture; hand-harvested selection of oldest vines (first bunches), partial/majority whole-bunch fermentation, indigenous yeasts, aged in new oak (high %) and bottled after élevage.

Vineyard Info
Château de La Tour (Labet family) is the largest owner within Clos de Vougeot; vines include centenarian plantings (c.1910). The 'Hommage à Jean Morin' cuvée started 2010 as a special, very small-production selection.
