Tasting Note
Very dense dark cherry and black raspberry, licorice and bitter chocolate with earthy truffle/mineral notes; firm, medicinal tannins and a long, powerful finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, beef bourguignon, venison or mushroom risotto. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, miso-glazed fish or pork, shiitake and soy-braised dishes.

Production Method
Hand-harvested from centenarian vines, selective bunch-only cuvée; native fermentations with a high whole-bunch proportion in some years, matured in French oak (significant new oak), bottled with minimal fining/filtration.

Château de la Tour (Labet family) is the largest owner in Clos de Vougeot, producing this top cuvée from very old vine parcels (planted ~1910) as an hommage to Jean Morin.
