Tasting Note
Fresh black cherry, blackberry and dark plum with briar, smoked-licorice and crushed-rock minerality. Medium-plus body, juicy acidity and fine, approachable tannins; elegant, savory finish with lingering red-fruit and mineral notes.

Roast duck, lamb rump, beef carpaccio, mushroom risotto, charcuterie (western); Peking duck, hoisin/soy-glazed pork, Japanese miso-marinated dishes, Korean bulgogi, shiitake and soba stir-fries (Asian).

Production Method
Biodynamically farmed fruit; 2020 vinified with a high proportion of whole-cluster (whole-bunch) fermentation, indigenous yeasts, aged 14–18 months in used French oak barrels and foudre; bottled unfined/unfiltered in many barrels.

Vineyard Info
Domaine Chandon de Briailles (family-owned since 1834) farms ~13–14 ha around Savigny, Pernand and Aloxe-Corton. Managed by Claude and François de Nicolay; converted to organic/biodynamic practices and minimal new oak usage.
