Tasting Note: Deep ruby. Ripe blackberry, blueberry and cassis with lavender, clove and black pepper; cocoa, tobacco and a faint smoked finish. Silky, dense palate with layered dark fruit and soft, polished tannins.
Food Pairing: Western: grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, aged cheddar and dark chocolate desserts. Asian: Korean bulgogi or galbi, Cantonese roasted duck or char siu, Sichuan beef, miso-glazed eggplant.
