Tasting Note
Bright ruby with ripe cherry, raspberry and violets, edged by thyme, smoked spice and mineral notes. Juicy, concentrated palate with firm polished tannins and a long, savory, flinty finish.
Food Pairing
Western: grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, roasted lamb, beef ragu, aged Pecorino or Parmesan. Asian: Peking duck, char siu (Cantonese roasted pork), Korean BBQ (galbi), rich duck or lamb curries (milder styles).
Production Method
Hand-harvested Sangiovese; 18–20 day fermentation in temperature-controlled shallow stainless steel with délestage; aged ~3 years in large Slavonian and Allier oak casks, followed by at least 12 months bottle aging.

Col d'Orcia, historic estate near Sant'Angelo in Colle owned by the Marone Cinzano family since 1973. Certified organic since 2010; south-facing vineyards overlooking the Orcia river.
