Awards/Ratings
Reported scores from French press (RVF) in the low‑90s for Jardins de Babylone vintages
Tasting Note
Off-dry, aromatic white: quince, candied pineapple, litchi, citrus zest and almond with flinty minerality and faint truffle notes. Vibrant acidity balanced by gentle sweetness and a long saline finish.
Food Pairing
Western: foie gras, scallops, lobster, roasted chicken, pork belly, aged or blue cheeses. Asian: Thai green curry, spicy Szechuan prawns, Chinese roast duck, sushi and sashimi with citrus.
Production Method
Hand-harvested with successive sorting; slow pneumatic pressing; fermentation in stainless steel and new large-format oak 'cigar' barrels; ~12 months barrel ageing; bottled after élevage to retain off-dry balance.
Vineyard Info
Les Jardins de Babylone is a tiny (≈3.2 ha) terraced site acquired by Didier Dagueneau; now run by Louis‑Benjamin Dagueneau. Known for low yields, artisanal viticulture and precise oak ageing.
