Tasting Note
Open, floral and spicy with rose petal, forest-floor and plummy red-fruit notes; supple, medium body, soft/pliant tannins and a slightly savory, long finish.

Western: roast duck, coq au vin, beef bourguignon, lamb or mushroom risotto. Asian: Peking or roasted duck, char siu, miso-glazed salmon, grilled shiitake and soy-braised dishes.

Domaine de la Vougeraie (family estate created 1999) owns Les Evocelles, first parcel planted 1966; site is steep, east‑southeast slope on calcareous clay‑silt; certified organic (Ecocert) since 2001 and biodynamic practices used.
