Tasting Note
Silky, floral Pinot Noir: rose, wild strawberry and cherry, sandalwood and spice with a mineral, stony undertow. Medium-bodied, refined tannins and a long, elegant finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, coq au vin, beef Bourguignon, mushroom risotto, pork loin. Asian: Peking duck, hoisin-glazed pork, miso-glazed salmon, soy-mushroom stir-fry, char siu.

Production Method
Organic and biodynamic viticulture; fermentation with indigenous yeasts and partial whole-cluster maceration, matured in French oak barrels before bottling.

Vineyard Info
Domaine de la Vougeraie, created in 1999 by the Boisset family, farms extensive holdings across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune and is a leading organic/biodynamic producer in Burgundy. Les Damodes is a ~0.9 ha, east-facing, Prémeaux-marls site bordering Vosne-Romanée.
