Tasting Note
A luxurious set: concentrated black-fruit, cassis, graphite, cedar and tobacco from the first growth reds; ripe plum and chocolate notes; d'Yquem adds honeyed apricot, marmalade and citrus confit. Extremely long, complex finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast beef, lamb, aged cheeses, duck confit, foie gras. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ short ribs, Cantonese roasted meats, rich Sichuan braised beef. Sauternes pairs with foie gras and fruit desserts.

Production Method
Selection of estate wines from top Bordeaux châteaux; traditional Bordeaux vinification with fermentations at the estates and extended oak maturation. d'Yquem produced by botrytis-affected Sémillon/Sauvignon and barrel aging.
