Tasting Note
Deep black-fruit core of cassis and blackberry with graphite, cedar, tobacco, licorice and dark chocolate. Firm, concentrated palate with ripe, grainy tannins and long mineral, tobacco-tinged finish.
Food Pairing
Western: grilled ribeye, roast lamb, beef Wellington. Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu or braised beef with soy-based sauces.
Production Method
Parcel vinified in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats; matured 18–24 months in French oak (approx. 50–60% new), blended from estate parcels surrounding the Enclos and other Cru Classé plots.
Vineyard Info
Second wine of Château Latour (launched 1966). Estate owned by the Pinault family since 1993; vines average ~40 years with plots around the Enclos and other Pauillac crus.
