Mature, medium-full red with leather, tobacco, coffee, roast chestnut, chocolate and dried plum; silky texture, earthy-savoury notes and a lingering, still-assertive tannic finish.


Food Pairing

Roast lamb, beef, game, mushroom-based dishes, aged hard cheeses; Asian: Peking duck, char siu, red-braised beef (soy/ginger), Cantonese roasted meats, umami mushroom stir-fries.


Production Method

Traditional Bordeaux vinification: hand-harvested, destemmed, fermented in vats, then matured in French oak barrels (including some new oak) for c.18–24 months.

Château Haut-Brion, founded c.1525, is a Premier Grand Cru classé (1855) in Pessac-Léognan; owned by Domaine Clarence Dillon since 1935 and renowned for ageworthy, terroir-driven Bordeaux.
