Tasting Note
Perfumed dark-berry and damson fruit with violet, anise and five-spice notes; framed by fine powdery tannins, lifted acidity and a long mineral, savoury finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, grilled rib‑eye, braised short ribs, aged cheddar; Asian: char siu, Korean BBQ, Sichuan pepper beef, Malaysian rendang, grilled miso eggplant.
Production Method
Hand-harvested Shiraz from a single block; matured ~18 months in French oak hogsheads (c.25% new) before blending and bottling. Managed with organic/biodynamic practices.
Vineyard Info
From the ‘Post Office’ nursery block (planted 1989) within the Hill of Grace vineyard; limited single-block release created from low-yielding, dry-grown vines. Produced by the Henschke family, long-established Barossa/Eden Valley growers.
