Tasting Note
Cool-climate Pinot with dried cranberry, warm cherry, smoke, pipe tobacco, forest-floor and floral notes. Silky, light-to-medium body, fine grain tannins, lively acidity and a mineral, lingering finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, mushroom risotto, roast pork, grilled salmon. Asian: Peking duck, miso-glazed black cod, teriyaki salmon, char siu pork, shiitake noodle dishes.
Production Method
Estate-grown biodynamically; hand-harvested, small-lot fermentations and careful barrel selection. Reserve blend matured in French oak barrels to balance fruit and structure.
Vineyard Info
Hirsch Vineyards (David Hirsch) planted beginning in 1980. Single-vineyard estate (~72 acres) on the True Sonoma Coast, highly regarded for cool-climate, site-driven Pinot Noir.
