Tasting Note

Perfumed red fruits (raspberry, morello cherry) with rose petal and forest-floor notes; medium–full-bodied, fresh acidity, fine-grained tannins and a mineral, gently earthy finish.

Food Pairing

Western: roast duck, coq au vin, mushroom risotto, beef bourguignon, lamb. Asian: Peking duck, miso-glazed salmon, char siu pork, shabu‑shabu, grilled shiitake, bulgogi.

Production Method

100% destemmed, ambient-yeast fermentation in open wooden vats; aged ~15–16 months in oak (c.15% new); bottled without fining or filtration; sustainably farmed vineyards.

Domaine J.F. Mugnier (Côte de Nuits) owns Les Fuées (≈0.71 ha), planted c.1960; small production (c.1,500–3,500 bottles); family domaine renowned for Musigny and other Chambolle holdings.
