Tasting Note
Dark cherry and raspberry with floral, forest-floor and mineral notes. Medium-bodied, perfumed and saline, with fine dusty tannins, subtle spice and a persistent, slightly savory finish.

Food Pairing
Western: beef bourguignon, roast duck, lamb, mushroom risotto, charcuterie and aged cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, soy-braised short ribs, miso-glazed eggplant, char siu pork, grilled shiitake with soy.

Production Method
100% de-stemmed Pinot Noir; indigenous yeast fermentation (15–20 days); aged ~18 months in French oak (≈15% new); racked twice; bottled after additional tank ageing.

Clos de la Maréchale is Mugnier’s ~9.55 ha monopole in Nuits-Saint-Georges, returned to the family in 2004; Domaine J.-F. Mugnier is a respected Burgundy producer focused on low-intervention viticulture.
