Tasting Note
Concentrated dark berries, black cherry, violets, cracked pepper, cured meat and graphite with saline minerality. Silky, refined tannins, bright freshness and a long, peppery, floral finish.

Food Pairing
Roasted lamb, grilled ribeye, game (venison), beef stews; Asian: Korean BBQ, Peking duck, char siu, Sichuan beef, mushroom hot pot.

Production Method
Mostly destemmed fruit fermented in wood tonneaux and stainless steel; aged ~24–30 months in French oak barriques/tonneaux (blend of new and used barrels).

Domaine Jean‑Louis Chave, family estate in Hermitage since 1481. Jean‑Louis (current winemaker) produces benchmark Northern Rhône Syrah with traditional plots and careful cellar blending.
