Tasting Note

Dense blackberry, plum and dark chocolate with mocha, graphite and menthol lift. Full-bodied, viscous palate with firm, dusty/chewy tannins, lively acidity and a long, spicy, mineral finish.


Food Pairing

Grilled rib‑eye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, aged cheddar; Asian: Korean BBQ, Szechuan beef, Peking duck, char siu pork, rich Malaysian or Cantonese braised dishes.


Production Method

Hand-harvested single-vineyard Shiraz from Armagh; fermented traditionally and matured ~14 months in French and American oak (high % new oak; barriques). Minimal intervention winemaking, bottled under cork.

Armagh vineyard established by Jim Barry (planted late 1960s). Small, low-yield sandy-gravel site in Clare Valley producing concentrated Shiraz for the estate flagship.
