Tasting Note
Opaque ruby; aromas of blackcurrant, graphite, cedar, violets, mocha and truffle. Palate dense with layered black fruit, fine-grained, grippy tannins, bright acidity and a long, mineral finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, beef Wellington, braised short rib, mushroom risotto, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, miso‑marinated beef, Korean BBQ (galbi), Cantonese roast beef, rich Chinese braised beef.
Production Method
Parcel vinification in temperature-controlled vats, extended maceration, malolactic fermentation and ageing approximately 18 months in French oak (majority new).

Château Lafite Rothschild, a Premier Cru Classé of Pauillac, has been owned by the Rothschild family since Baron James de Rothschild purchased it in 1868; renowned for gravelly terroir and long-lived First Growth wines.
