Tasting Note
Seductive black- and red-berry core (blackberry, cherry), violet perfume, spice, licorice and forest-floor notes; silky texture, medium-plus body, fine-grained tannins and a long, peppery finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, beef bourguignon, venison with berries, mushroom risotto, mature cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, soy-/miso-braised short ribs, char siu, shiitake mushroom dishes, miso-glazed aubergine.

Production Method
Certified biodynamic viticulture; hand-harvested, sorted, usually partly destemmed with some whole-cluster; natural/open-vat fermentation, gentle extraction and ageing c.12–15 months in French oak (limited racking).

Domaine du Comte Liger‑Belair (Louis‑Michel Liger‑Belair) rebuilt family holdings since 2000; owns ~0.22–0.58 ha in Les Suchots with old vines. Estate biodynamic since 2008; focus on low yields and terroir-driven wines.
