Tasting Note
Concentrated blackcurrant, blackberry and cassis with cedar, pencil lead, violet and saline minerality. Medium-full, ripe powdery tannins, bright acidity and a long, graphite-tinged finish.

Roast lamb, ribeye or short ribs, beef Wellington, aged hard cheeses; Asian pairings: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi/galbi), Cantonese roasted pork, Szechuan beef or beef rendang.
Production Method
Fermented in stainless/elevated tanks, aged ~18 months in French oak barriques (≈75% new). Traditional Bordeaux vinification with careful selection and élevage.

Owned by the Cazes family since 1934; classified Fifth Growth (1855). 100+ ha on gravelly Bages plateau. New winery inaugurated in 2020.
