Tasting Note
Perfumed black and red berries, violets and rose, espresso and mocha, licorice, dried herbs and polished leather. Full-bodied with velvety ripe tannins, bright freshness, toasted spice and a long mineral finish.

Food Pairing
Western: grilled beef, roasted lamb, venison, aged hard cheeses, mushroom risotto. Asian: Peking duck, char siu pork, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), soy-braised beef, teriyaki-glazed dishes.

Production Method
Hand-harvested; fermentation in concrete vats, malolactic in French barriques (50% new); aged ~12 months in barrique, blended and returned to barrels for ~3 months before bottling.

Second wine of Masseto (Tenuta Masseto/Ornellaia). Masseto is a single-vineyard Merlot estate in Bolgheri established in the 1980s; Massetino was introduced as the estate’s second label in 2017.
