Tasting Note
Concentrated, perfumed black- and red-fruit core (cassis, blackberry, blueberry) with dark chocolate, cedar, mocha and truffle notes. Velvety yet firm tannins, balanced acidity and a long, savory finish.

Food Pairing
Western: grilled ribeye, herb-crusted lamb, braised short ribs, aged cheddar. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi, galbi), char siu/roast pork, hoisin-glazed duck, soy-marbled beef dishes.

Production Method
Hand-harvested, berry selection, fermented in temperature-controlled vats; majority aged ~24 months in new French oak, additional ageing in oak foudres prior to bottling.

Montes (founded 1987) makes Taita from the Marchigüe estate in Colchagua; extremely limited-production icon wine developed with soil scientists, sourced from dry-farmed, low-yield parcels.
