Tasting Note

Bright lime, pear and green apple with lychee and stone-fruit notes; toasted almond, nougat and light cedar. Chalky acidity, rounded texture and a long, dry savoury finish with herbal lift.


Food Pairing

Western: oysters, grilled prawns, roast chicken, goat or sheep’s milk cheeses, creamy seafood pasta. Asian: sashimi/sushi, steamed fish with ginger & scallion, Vietnamese seafood salads, light Thai seafood or lemongrass dishes, stir-fried greens.


Production Method

Each variety vinified separately, barrel-fermented and matured (mostly older French oak) with lees stirring; typically ~11 months ageing and relatively firm pressing for texture.

Mount Mary is a family-owned single-vineyard estate in the Yarra Valley, founded 1971 by John & Marli Middleton. Renowned for premium Bordeaux-style blends and ageworthy whites.
