Tasting Note

Blackberry and ripe plum with dark chocolate, licorice, leather and earthy/pepper spice. Fine-grained tannins, elegant texture, medium‑full body and a long, savory finish.

Food Pairing

Western: roast beef, herb‑crusted lamb, aged cheddar, grilled venison. Asian: Peking duck, Cantonese char siu, Korean BBQ, spicy Sichuan beef, teriyaki‑glazed dishes.

Production Method

Hand‑harvested Shiraz fermented in small batches; matured approximately 18 months in French oak puncheons (new and seasoned) and bottle‑aged before release.

Mount Pleasant, founded by Maurice O’Shea in 1921 in the Hunter Valley. The estate includes Old Hill, Rosehill and Lovedale old‑vine sites; the Maurice O’Shea is the estate flagship.
