Tasting Note

Medium-bodied Pinot Noir with red and black cherry, rose petal, earth, white pepper and baking spice; charred oak and meaty undertones, silky texture, firm tannins and a long mineral finish.

Food Pairing

Roast duck, coq au vin, beef bourguignon, mushroom risotto; Asian pairings: Peking duck, char siu, five-spice lamb, mushroom hot pot.

Production Method

Traditional Burgundian vinification in small vats with élevage in French oak barrels; the 2017 was noted as being aged in 100% new oak by Jancis Robinson. Controlled yields and careful élevage to express terroir.

Domaine Olivier Bernstein launched in 2007; sources most fruit under long-term contracts and acquired the Les Champeaux parcel in 2012. Focuses on old vines and small, high-quality production of premiers and grands crus.
