Tasting Note
Deep, brooding dark berries and black cherry with dark chocolate, liquorice, exotic spices and grilled-meat notes; vanilla from new oak. Silky, concentrated palate with powerful, finely textured tannins and a very long, inky finish.

Food Pairing
Western: grilled/roast lamb, beef ribeye, slow-roasted short ribs, braised beef, blue cheese. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi/galbi), char siu, spicy Sichuan beef, lamb rendang, Peking duck.

Production Method
Fruit from two single-vineyard sites (Clare ~51%, Barossa ~49%); fermented as Shiraz and matured ~18 months in 100% new French oak; traditional red winemaking, bottled as a Special Bin release.

Penfolds, founded 1844, iconic Australian producer. Bin 111A was released as a Special Bin for Penfolds' 175th anniversary, sourced from sites that have supplied fruit to Grange; crafted under Chief Winemaker Peter Gago.
