Tasting Note
Perfumed Margaux with cassis, violet and licorice notes, bright red and black fruit, silky silt-like tannins, polished oak and a long, floral finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, beef short ribs, duck confit, mushroom risotto, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ short ribs (galbi), braised beef with soy/ginger, Japanese wagyu or seared tuna with miso glaze.

Production Method
Hand-harvested, plot-by-plot vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats; malolactic in vat; aged ~18 months in ~60% new French oak.

Château Rauzan-Ségla (2ème Cru Classé) owned by the Wertheimer/Chanel family since 1994; ~50ha in Margaux, modernized winemaking and organic conversion certified in 2023.
